Ladies Guild
St. Ann's Parish Ladies' Guild welcomes women of all ages to participate in focusing on spiritual renewal as well as social participation within the parish. Members of the Guild are women who enjoy each others company while contributing to the strength of St. Ann's Parish. We will be starting our new year in September 2020.
The Guild's activities include social and spiritual afternoons and evenings. Our Harvest Tea, presented each year, delights the invited community with a speaker, musical selections and spiritual insights and ends with a delightful tea. This tea recipe is the same one used at the first tea given by Constance Cooper over 40 years ago. The annual Harvest Tea continues to be a fund raising event in order to sponsor scholarships for Catholic students. The Constance Cooper/Janet Spring Scholarships have been a tremendous success. This year, the Guild will be awarding our annual Constance Cooper / Janet Springs Scholarships in mid August, 2020. This year, the Constance Cooper / Janet Springs Scholarships are available to any high school graduate attending a technical school, college or university in the fall. Previously, applicants had to be at least a first year student already enrolled and attending a technical school, college or university to apply. Guidelines and application forms may be obtained from the St. Ann Parish Office, 843.661.5012.
St. Ann's Guild will present our annual "Come to the Manger" this November 20-22, to be held in the new St. Ann Parish Life Center. This event features a beautiful display of mangers and nativities from St. Ann's Parish families as well as the community of Florence. Many members from community churches take delight in sharing their mangers or nativities to be placed on exhibit as St. Ann's gift to the community at the beginning of the Advent Season.
The St. Ann's Ladies Guild holds a business meeting on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 6:30pm.
